East African Business and Entrepreneurship Conference & Exhibition 2017

The East African Business & Entrepreneurship Conference & Exhibition is an annual event rotating in all Partner States of the East African Community (EAC), co-organized in collaboration with the respective EAC Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs). The inaugural 2016 edition, organized by the East African Business Council (EABC) with support of the Federation of German Industries (BDI), was successfully held from 10th to 13th October in Nairobi, Kenya. Read Report on 1st East African Business & Entrepreneurship Conference & Exhibition This year, the second edition will be held from 14th to 16th November 2017 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.It is co-organized with the Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC), Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) and the East African Community (EAC). The three-day conference will bring together high-level government and private sector decision makers from the EAC Partner States as well as entrepreneurs and investors from the region and abroad. The conference aims at building a bridge and linking start-ups and SMEs to investors, financiers and established corporates in the region to create business partnerships and joint ventures. It will come up with a number of specific recommendations towards regional policy makers in order to improve the business environment in the EAC Common Market. The simultaneous exhibition will give participants the possibility to present themselves and serve as points of contact for their organizations and businesses. The exhibition will be open to the general public as well in order to give exhibitors more exposure and the opportunity to showcase and sell their products and services. The East African Business & Entrepreneurship Conference & Exhibition provides a platform for design thinking (“out of the box”) on innovative strategies to attract investment in the EAC by bringing on board a unique mix of creative people from diverse entrepreneurial sectors. The East African Business & Entrepreneurship Conference & Exhibition aims at providing an opportunity for business to business (B2B) and business to government (B2G) engagement. It is a platform for financiers and innovators to strengthen entrepreneurship in the EAC, a regional One-Stop Center for investment and trade opportunities. This years’ sector highlights aim at promoting regional integration while reflecting on global trends.
