Arusha, Tanzania, Saturday, 14th December 2024 — The newly elected Chairperson of the East African Business Council (EABC), Mr. John Lual Akol Akol, visited the EABC Secretariat in Arusha.

In his remarks, Mr. John Lual emphasized the importance of a unified voice for the private sector across the region to drive the EABC’s vision of a borderless East Africa that fosters business, investment, and socio-economic prosperity.

Mr. Adrian Njau, Acting EABC Executive Director, congratulated Mr. John Lual on his election as Chairperson by the 23rd Annual General Meeting of the EABC. He reaffirmed the Secretariat’s commitment to supporting the Chairperson and the Executive Committee in their roles and expressed optimism for their strategic guidance to enhance the competitiveness of East African businesses at regional, continental, and global levels.

The EABC Chairperson was accompanied by EABC Board Members from South Sudan, including Mr. Kennedy Lodiong Kenyi, Mr. Mou Ambrose Thiik, Mr. Osama M. Bilal and Mr. William Deng from Etihad Group of Companies shared insights on strengthening business ties among East African businesses and boosting intra- and extra-EAC trade and investment.
