Kigali, Rwanda – 1st April 2026: The East African Business Council (EABC) delegation, led by Vice Chairperson Mr. Dennis Karera, paid a courtesy visit to BPR Bank Rwanda Plc and held discussions with Ms. Patience Mutesi, CEO BPR Bank Rwanda Plc, and Ms. Elise, the Head of Treasury.

Mr. Karera highlighted regional trade and investment opportunities and the importance of financial sector integration.He stated that EABC member companies are keen to use BPR Bank services to operate across borders, for business growth.

Ms. Patience Mutesi emphasized the importance of advocating for the East African Monetary Union and the free movement of capital, noting progress in regional financial integration, particularly initiatives that enable businesses to access financing beyond their home countries.

Mr. Ahmed Farah, EABC Executive Director, reaffirmed the EABC’s commitment to advocate for financial services integration in the region and introduced the upcoming EABC CEO Investment Forum, scheduled for September 2026, which will convene business leaders across the region.
