Earlier this year, the EU Commission presented a draft for a new EU-Africa strategy to be adopted at the EU-AU Summit in autumn 2020. The Cotonou Agreement will expire this year. Germany took over the EU presidency on July 1. The forthcoming reorganization of European-African relations has gained even more importance because of the global economic changes and pandemic.
