Afreximbank in collaboration with Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority, the Zanzibar National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC), President’s Office of Labour, Economic Affairs and Investment, the EABC-Africa Trade and Investment Council (EATIC) and the Ministry of Trade and Industrial Development, are jointly organising a Zanzibar Trade and Investment Forum (ZTIF). The Forum themed: “Promoting Sustainable Trade and Investment Under the AfCFTA” is scheduled to hold during 30 November – 1 December 2022 at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Zanzibar.
The Conference is expected to attract heads of private sector organsiations, senior government officials, potential investors, exhibitors, the general private sector and financial institutions from the East African business community and the rest of Africa.
The Forum will seek to promote trade, investment and finance opportunities between Zanzibar and the rest of Africa in the context of the African Continental Free Trade Area. It will also provide an opportunity for Zanzibar to showcase its investment opportunities and projects, facilitate B2B engagements, joint ventures, partnerships and business deals. In addition, the Forum will enable African private sector direct engagements with the Government of Zanzibar and the Zanzibar private sector.
