1. Background

The East African Business Council (EABC), in partnership with the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA) and AGRA, is implementing the project titled:
“Promoting Intra-EAC Agri-Food Cross-Border Trade by Addressing Non-Tariff Barriers (NTBs) to Trade.”

The project aims to enhance the participation of women and youth-led agri-food traders and facilitate cross-border trade in key agricultural commodities such as maize, rice, beans, soybeans, and horticultural products. Trade Information Booths are being established at selected border points to serve as knowledge and service hubs for traders.

To enhance information delivery, each booth will be equipped with interactive televisions or display screens to support video presentations, training modules, and live demonstrations on trade facilitation tools, including the EAC Simplified Trade Regime (STR) and NTB reporting platforms.

2. Objective of the Assignment

EABC invites proposals from qualified and reputable suppliers for the supply and delivery of interactive display televisions for use in Trade Information Booths across key cross-border corridors in the East African region.

3. Scope of Work

The selected supplier will be responsible for:

  • Supplying and delivering eight (8) interactive televisions/display screens—one per Trade Information Booth.
  • Specifications required:
    • Screen size: 32″, 40″, 42″, 43” inches.
    • Smart TV capabilities
    • Touchscreen capability for interactive use.
    • 4K UHD resolution or higher for clear visibility in daylight settings.
    • Built-in Android operating system or ability to connect with external USB/HDMI media.
    • Wireless screen mirroring and remote control compatibility.
    • Wall-mountable or mobile stand option included.
    • Built-in speakers for video playback.
    • Durable casing suitable for semi-outdoor or public-use settings.
  • Include all necessary accessories:
    • Power cables, remotes, wall mounts or floor stands, and instruction manuals.
  • Provide a minimum 12-month warranty and after-sales technical support.
  • Optional: Preload trade-related video content and training materials as provided by EABC.

 

4. Delivery Timeline and Locations

  • Delivery must be completed within 15 working days of contract award.
  • Delivery point: EABC Headquarters, Arusha, Tanzania.
  • EABC may request support for coordination to distribution sites if needed.

5. Proposal Requirements

Interested suppliers are requested to submit:

  • Company profile outlining relevant experience in supplying and installing display equipment;
  • Detailed technical specifications and images of the proposed television models;
  • Financial proposal including unit and total cost, taxes, delivery, and accessories;
  • Warranty and after-sales support details;
  • Copy of valid business registration and tax compliance certificates;

7. Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated based on:

  • Compliance with required specifications;
  • Product quality and durability;
  • Price competitiveness and value for money;
  • Warranty and after-sales support details;
