24th April 2026, Arusha, Tanzania: The East African Business Council (EABC) joined the East African Community Secretariat to bid farewell to H.E. Veronica Nduva and to welcome the incoming Secretary General, H.E. Amb. Stephen Patrick Mbundi.

The ceremony was preceded by the Regional Dialogue Convening 2026, held under the theme: “From Summit Directives to Action: Strengthening Regional Integration through Stakeholder Engagement, Accountability, and Leadership.”

The convening brought together key regional stakeholders from the public and private sectors and development partners from the region and beyond.

Mr. Kake Dhariwal, former EABC Board Director, took part in a panel session on enhancing regional coordination, implementation accountability, and private sector engagement in delivering EAC integration priorities.

 

EABC also contributed to a panel discussion reflecting on the EAC Consultative Dialogue Framework for the private sector, civil society, and other interest groups.

The convening provided an important platform for aligning stakeholder priorities and reinforcing the role of structured dialogue in advancing regional integration, ensuring that regional policies reflect real business and social needs.
