The Somali Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) hosted Mr. John Lual Akol, Chairman of the East African Business Council (EABC), during his visit to Mogadishu aimed at strengthening relations and cooperation between the two organizations.
During the visit, Chairman Akol was interviewed about the overall collaboration between the EABC and SCCI. He reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing business cooperation and encouraged the Somali Chamber of Commerce to apply for EABC membership, highlighting the numerous opportunities available for Somali entrepreneurs within the regional bloc.
Mr. Akol also expressed his readiness to work closely with the Somali business community to advance regional integration and cooperation.
The leadership of the Somali Chamber of Commerce and Industry appreciated Chairman Akol’s inspiration, valuable advice, and constructive suggestions. Both parties agreed to collaborate closely for the development and integration of the East African region and to strengthen private sector trade cooperation.
