3rd July 2026: The East African Business Council (EABC), in partnership with ITL and GIZ, successfully convened a follow-up webinar on Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) collaboration between Europe and East Africa under the Invest.EastAfrica! initiative.
The webinar built on outcomes from the Europe–East Africa DPI delegation mission and side event held in Tallinn, Estonia, in May 2026. It brought together stakeholders from the public and private sectors to deepen dialogue on practical cooperation areas, showcase emerging DPI use cases, and explore entry points for private sector engagement.
Discussions focused on strengthening interoperable digital ecosystems, advancing innovation, and unlocking opportunities to enhance cross-border trade, investment, and digital transformation across East Africa and Europe.
EABC, together with ITL and GIZ, reaffirmed their commitment to supporting private sector participation in DPI development and fostering strategic partnerships that accelerate inclusive digital growth and regional integration.
